To send email through Pepipost using WordPress we recommend the Official Pepipost WordPress Plugin. To install, use the WordPress admin panel or follow these instructions.

Step 1: Login to your wordpress and install Pepipost Wordpress Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pepipost/

Step 2: Once installed, click on the Settings link for the plugin on your plugins page or click on Pepipost Settings on the side menu as shown below. 

Enter the following details:

  • API key: Get the API key from your Pepipost account and enter here.
  • From Email: The from/sender email address from which the email will go e.g. info@example.com. Note: In this case the example.com need to be pre-verified and approved on Pepipost. Login to you Pepipost accoun to add and verify your sender domain.
  • From Name: Name that emails should be sent from. e.g. Customer Care
  • Mailer: Select "Send all WordPress emails via SMTP"
  • Return Path: Select "Set the return-path to match the From Email"
  • SMTP Port: Port can be 25, 587 or 2525
  • Encryption: Default is "no encryption"
  • Authentication: Set it to "Yes: Use SMTP authentication"
  • Username: Enter your Pepipost Username
  • Password: Enter your Pepipost Password
Once all the settings are done, click on "Save Changes".

Step 3: Once the settings are done, you can test the email sending also, as shown below. Some times the email sending fails, because of port blocking at your end. By default many hosting providers block port 25, 587, 2525 for outgoing SMTP connection. You need to ensure that the ports are opened for the successful test.

You can check the check the real time email send status under "Logs Report" and overall statistics under "Statistics Report"
